Chris Branton joins True North Solutions as Electrical Team Lead

June 13, 2023 | Calgary, Alberta — True North Solutions is proud to announce that Chris Branton has joined our organization in the role of Electrical Team Lead.

Chris is a Professional Engineer and Electrical Design Specialist with 20 years of experience leading project teams through preliminary and detailed design, procurement, bidding, fabrication, inspection/ testing, and construction management. Chris has supported clients in the Commercial, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Pipeline sectors with electrical system solutions that improved the reliability, efficiency, and safety of their operational technology (OT) automation systems.

In his early career, Chris designed electrical systems for commercial offices, research laboratories, and wastewater treatment plants. He later transitioned to a role with a systems integrator where he designed electrical infrastructure, including control panels for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), remote terminal units (RTUs), safety instrumented systems (SIS), and vibration monitoring systems, for expansions and migrations. More recently, Chris led a team to deliver Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems monitoring, including setting up a UL 508A-certified panel shop. He joins True North in a leadership role to help grow and develop our Electrical team and further support our ever-growing client base.
