True North Solutions promotes Mark McCutcheon to Director of Solutions

Calgary, Alberta — True North Solutions is proud to announce Mark McCutcheon’s promotion to the position of Director of Solutions in our organization.

In this new role, Mark will support key areas of growth as our company continues to evolve. He’ll be responsible for leading the development of our customer-centric solutions, including True North’s Functional Adaptable Scalable Technology (FAST) suite of tools, and the expansion of consulting services. Mark will also retain his current role as Operational Technology (OT) Automation Manager, continuing to work closely with his expert team.

Mark is an automation and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) programmer consultant with more than 27 years of experience. He’s executed projects across a range of industries, including oil and gas, energy and utilities, food and beverage, manufacturing, petrochemical, refining, and water and wastewater industries. Mark has extensive leadership, technical, and problem-solving expertise in all aspects of automation project management, design, execution, operations, and maintenance; automation, instrumentation, and control systems for all project phases, including field operational support; and cybersecurity for SCADA OT environments.

Mark’s expertise is complemented by more than 10 years of managerial, leadership, and mentoring experience engaging with multidiscipline teams of professionals (project execution, IT/OT, process control, instrumentation, measurement, and telecommunication) executing significant volumes of concurrent projects and field support initiatives. He has consistently delivered high-quality work through collaboration with clients, project teams, contractors, vendors, operations, maintenance, regulators, and industry peers.
