Ben Hardy joins True North Solutions as Functional Safety Specialist

Calgary, AB: True North Solutions is proud to announce that Ben Hardy has joined our organization in the role of Functional Safety Specialist.

Ben is a Professional Engineer registered with APEGA and EGBC and certified as a Functional Safety Engineer through TÜV Rheinland. Ben specializes in implementing systematic solutions in alignment with the IEC 61511 standard. He brings more than 16 years of industry experience supporting clients across multiple industries, including agriculture, petrochemical, and oil and gas.

During the first part of his career, Ben worked with Yokogawa as a project engineer and manager, implementing their distributed control system (DCS) and safety instrumented system (SIS) solutions. He then narrowed his focus to functional safety and built a strong reputation for his work providing functional safety solutions. He joins the True North team in a specialist capacity, with long-term focus on further growing our team to support True North’s clients with all their functional safety needs, including functional safety assessments and safety integrity level verification.
